Vision and Objectives

Vision:

  • The utilization of information technology in establishing a knowledge-based economy and efficient governance.

Objectives:

  • The objectives are to ensure the effective utilization of information technology, facilitate infrastructure development, build a skilled workforce, foster the creation of meaningful work, and establish good governance through the implementation of e-services. 


Strategic Objectives:

  1. Creating a high-speed internet connectivity infrastructure up to the grass root level across the country.

  2. Establishing an appropriate framework to provide information and communication technology services nationwide.

  3. Ensuring the coordination of government and non-governmental activities related to information and communication technology.

  4. Safeguarding the uninterrupted provision of services through a robust information and communication technology infrastructure and effective surveillance.

  5. Fostering the development of skilled information and communication technology professionals at the government level through the establishment of IT services.

  6. Enhancing the capabilities of trained personnel for rapid technological advancements.

  7. Promoting the dissemination of information and communication technology knowledge at all levels of government and among the general public.

  8. Formulating laws, policies, guidelines, and standards related to information and communication technology.

  9. Promoting interoperability and ensuring the usability and security of IT services and products.

  10. Facilitating research, innovation, and collaborative efforts for the advancement and practical implementation of new technologies in the field of IT services and products.
